Self-love is not just something you feel. It is something you practice.
It lives in the choices you make, the spaces you enter, and the way you move through your own life.
For me, it has always started with movement.
Before yoga, there was dance. Gymnastics. Skateboarding. Swimming. Hiking. I have always been in motion, testing my edges, learning the language of my body. Moving has always been a way to connect to myself — especially in the seasons when I felt far from who I was.
Self-love begins with showing up, even when it would be easier to stay home.
It is deciding you are worth the time, worth the space, worth the care.
When I teach, whether it is monthly mobility, a yoga nidra, a retreat practice, or guiding a group into free, unstructured dance, I am inviting you into more than just exercise or relaxation. I am inviting you into the habit of choosing yourself. Into the discipline of listening to your breath, your body, and your needs.
Healing can happen alone, and there is value in the solo adventure.
But there is something incomparable about a shared experience.
When you hike alongside someone, when you breathe together in practice, when you share a meal after a day of movement, something shifts. The connection becomes part of the transformation. The story becomes bigger than your own.
On retreats, I have watched strangers arrive carrying the weight of their own stories and leave with new friendships, lighter hearts, and a renewed trust in themselves. In our monthly gatherings, I have seen how a simple practice can become an anchor, a place to breathe, move, connect, and refill your own well.
Movement, like self-love, does not end when you step off the mat or out of the circle.
It ripples into the way you speak to yourself, the choices you make, and the way you hold space for others.
Each time you choose to move with intention, you are telling yourself, I matter.
Each time you rest fully, you are saying, I am allowed to receive.
Self-love in motion is not about perfection. It is about presence.
It is about the steady return to yourself, over and over again.
Whether you join me for a monthly class, a yoga nidra, or a retreat, my hope is that you leave feeling more rooted, more connected, and more in love with the life you are living.
Because when you take care of yourself, you are not just filling your own cup.
You are creating the overflow that nourishes everyone around you and if you’ve shared the journey with others, that nourishment multiplies.
